Snhju-i : Import and Export Policy for 1982-83
KIk Ne. IPC/3/1/1982—The Import and Export Policy for April 1982-
Marqh 1983 will be announced on 5th April 1982.
2. Till ttie announcement of the import policy for 1982-83, import appli- cation received upto 31st March. 1982, Hnd which are pending on 1-4-1982, will be deaTI with under the policy for 1981-82.
3. lixporkT*. entering into export contracts during the period from lit April 1982 to 4th April 1982, if they register the contract with the bank according to the prescribed procedure will be eligible to claim protection of import replcnifchment as available on 31st March 1982, or on the date at the contract under the policy for 1982-83, es the exporter may desire.
4.Export of commodities from India during the period from 1st April 1982 to 4th April 1982, will be allowed in accordance with the export control policy as is force on 31st March 1982.

5. Person^ who need to import any requirements under extraordinary cir- cumstances (hiring the period from 1st April 1982 to 4th April 1982 may apply to the. Chief Controller of Imports and Exports, New Delhi. Their request* will be considered on merits.
