1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government being requested so to do by Punjab National Bank, establishes, with effect from the 31st March, 1982 a Regional Rural Bank in the State of Uttar Pradesh under the name of Rani Lakshmi Bai Kshetriya Gramin Bank which shall operate within the local limits of the districts Jhansi and Lalitpur in the State Uttar Pradesh.
