had decided to de-recognise some State Parties;
And whereas the Election Commission has also reviewed the poll perfromance of political parties registered but unrecognised for tho purpose of above-mentioned symbols order, (including those"1 political parties now decided to be de- recognlsed), on the basis of the results of General Elections referred to above, and as a result of the said review, it has decided to doreghter some registered parties;
And whereas the Commission has decided to accord reco- gnition to Indian Congress (Socialist) as a National Party until further orders having regard to the terms of the order of the Commission dated the 23rd July, 1981 determining the dispute in the Indian National Congress,
Now, therefore in pursuance of clause (a), (b), (c) and (d)
of sub-paragraph (1) and sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 17 of the Symbols Order referred to above and in supersession of its notification No. 56/79, dated the 28th September, 1979, published as S.O. 557 (E), in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II Section 3(ii), dated the 28th September, 1979, amended from time to time, the Election Commission hereby specifies—
(a) the National Parties and the symbols respectively reserv-
ed for them in Table 1;
(b) tho State Parties, the State or States in which they are State Parties and the symbols respectively reserved for them in such State or States in Table 2;
(c) the unrecognised registered political parties the Statt or States in which they function in Table 3; and
(d) the free symbols for each State in Table 4.
