NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 17th April, 1982
O.N. 31(E).-Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the death of Shri Kartik Oraon, a member elected to that House from 53-Lohardaga (ST) constituency in the State of Bihar;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the (aid constituency to elect a person belonging to the Scheduled Tribes to fill the said vacancy before the 24th May, 1982 (Monday), in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder.
