New Delhi, the 17th April, 1982
O.N. 37(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by the reason of the death of Shri Mhalgi Ramchandra K.ashinath, a member elected to that House from 10-Thane Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Maharashtra;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub- section (1) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said vacancy before 24th May, 1982 (Monday), in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and the Rules and orders made thereunder
