(ii) the said Shiroraani Akali Dal (Talwandi Group) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Longowdl Group) be granted ad-hoc recognition as State Parties in Punjab for the limited purpose of bye-elections called on 17th April; 1982 now in progress in Punjab;

(iii) the symbol 'Bow and Arrow* shall be reseived for the said Shiromani Akalj Dal (.Longowal Group) only in Punjab.

O.N. 51(E).—Whereas the Election Commission 13 satisfied on information in its possession that there are two rival sections or groups of the Shirpmani Akali Dal, ^ recognised State Party in Punjab, each of which claims to be that puny, one such section or group beinc led by Jamedar Jagdev Singh Talvandi and other being led b> Sant IIan.hand Singh Longowal;

2. In pursuance of clauses (b) and (d) of sub-para (1) and sub-pura (2) of paragraph 17 of the Election Symbols Order, the Commission hereby further directs that the following amendments shall be made to its notification No. 56'82 dated 8 April, 19X2.
