FOREIGN TRAVEL TAX
G.&iL 3*S(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 of 1979), the Central Government, being satisfied thai it is necewary and expedient so to do, hereby exempts the leaders of delegations, their spouse* and delegates (including officials) from the Developing Countries tind the foitign media representatives cominjj to attend the conference of the Science and Technology Agencies of the Developing Countries, to be held in New Delhi from the 3rd May, 1982 to 6thi May, 1982 from payment of foreign travel tax leviable under sub-section (J) of section 35 of the snid Act, in respect of their irfemiilional journey to any place outside India at the close of the conference.
2. The notification shall remain in force tipto and inclusive of the 9th May,
1982.
