G.S.R. 503(E) - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rulo (1) of rule 8 of the Central Fxcisc Rules, 1944, the Contral Government hereby exempts fuelless pump, falling under Item No. 68 of the First Schedule to the Cemwl Excises "ind Salt Act. 1944 (1 of 1944) from tho whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon.
EXPLANATION : For the purposes of this notification, "fuelless pump" means a water pump which works with out any fucland the only energy used is the water flow of a river, stream, canal or 'rulla' which turns the impellers on the turbine shaft.
