Sub : Expoit policy of marine products —Bechc-de-mere.
File No. 1/19/H2-EI—Attention is invited to Expoits (Control) Amend- ment OrJei No. E(C)O, 1977/AM(24M dated the 16th August, 1982 on the above subject.
2. It has been decided to ban, with immediate effect, "tpo:t of. Bechc- de-mcr of sizes below 3 inches, Accordingly, the existing entry at S. No. 7(i) 9, page 12, namely, "Beach-dc-mere" in the Policy Statement contained in Volume II of Import and Export Policy, 1982-83, shall be substituted by the following :~
"Bcche-de-mer of sizes 3 inches and above"
3. Pre-ban commitments in respect of export of the above item shall be con- sidered by the concerned port licensing authorities in terms of the provision! of Pnra 226 of the Hand Book oE Import and Export Proceduies, 19S2-83.
