New Delhi, the 17th August, 1982

No. 193/82-CUSTOMSG.S.R. 525(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts the articles specified in the Table below required for construc- tion of, or fitment to, ships of Cost Guard, when imported into India by the Government of India or by a person authorised by that Government or shipped on the order of a Department of the Government of. India and appropriated under such order at the time of shipment, from the whole 596 GI/32 (0

of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) and the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the second mentioned Act,

(2) Spares and test equipment for maintenance ard

testing of equipment;

(3) Fast Patrol Boats;

2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of

the 31st day of December, 1984.

G.S.R. 526(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 oi 1962), read wth subjection (4j of jection 44 of the Finance Act, 1982 (14 of 1982), the Central Government, being satisfied that it n necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 136-Customs dated the 11th.May, 1982, namely ;—

In the Schedule to the said notification, after Serial No. 211 and the entries relating thereto, the following Serial No. and entries shall be inserted, namely ; —

"212 No. 193-Customs, dated the 17th August, 1982.
