NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st August, 1982
G.S R. 5J2(E) —In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 12 of the Government Savings Certificates Act, 1959 (.46 of 1959), the Centr.il Govern- ment hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Savings Certificates (V Issue) Rules, 1973, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may bo called the National Savings Certificates (V lsuie)
Amendment Rules, 1982.
(2) They shall come into force on Ihe date of their publication in the
Official Gazette.
<2 In rule 10 of the National Savings Certificates (V Issue) Rules, 1973,
to sub-rule (1), the following proviso shall be added, namely :—
''Provided that where Ihc Central Government is satisfied that such purchase or acquisition of a certificate is due to a bona fide error on the part of the holder thereof, it may authorise payment of simple iuteresl on the face value of the certificate at the same late as is admissible for the time being in force . for the type of savings. accounts whi,h such holder is entitled lo open under the provisions of the Post Office Savings Account Rules, 1981".
