G.S.R. 551(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby miikcs the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 78-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1982, namely :—

tn paragraph 2 of the said notification, for the figures, letters nnd words '•31st day of August, 1982", the figures, letters and words "31st day of December, 1982" shall be substituted,
