ORDER
New Delhi, the 10th September, 1982
S. O. 659 (E)/J8AA/IDRA/82.—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Lite Ministry of Industrial De- velopment No. S. O. 542 (E)/18AA/IDRA/74, dated the 13th September, 1974, the Central Government had authorised a body of persons known as the Board of Management, to take over the management of Arnritsar Oil Works, Amritsar, a factory of the industrial undertaking known as Amritsar Sugar Mills Co. Ltd., Amritsar, for a period of five years upto and inclusive of the 12th September, 1979;
And, whereas, by the Order of tho Government of India in the Ministry of Industry No. S. O. 454(E), dated the 18th July, 1978, the said Board of Management was replaced by a new Board of Management for a period upto and inclusive of the 12th September, 1979;
And, whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry No. S. O. 525(E)/18AA/IDRA/79, dated the 11th September, 1979, the period of the said Orders dated the 13th September, 1974, and the 18th July, 1978, was extended upto and inclusive of the 12th September, 1981;
And, whereas, by the Order of tho Government of India in the Ministry of Industry No. S. O. 695(E)/18AA/IDRA/81, dated the 11th September, 1981, the period of the said two Orders dated the 13th September 1974 and the 18th July, 1978 was oxtended upto and inclusive of tho 12th Mirch, 1982;
And, whereas, by the Order of Government of India in the Ministry of Industry No. S. O. 134(E)/18AA/IDRA/81 dated the 11th March, 1982, the period of the said two orders dared the 13th Septembe! 1974 and 18th July 1978 was extended upto and inclusive of tho 12rh September, I9H2;
And, whereas the Central Government is of opinion thai it is expedient in the public interest that the said two orders dated the 13th September, 1974 and 18th July 1978 respectively should continue to have effect for a further period;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- soction (2) of section 18AA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Oovern- ment hereby directs that the said two orders dated the 13th September 1974 and the 18th July 1978 continue to have effect for a further period upto and inclusive of 14th October, 1982 subject to the orders, if any, of tho Supreme Court in the Spccia Leave Petition filed by the Union of India against the decision of the Delhi High Court dated the 3rd September 1982 in Civil Writ Petition No. 1410/1979 and ihe connected inter-locutory applications filed therein.
