NOTIFICATION

Now Delhi, the 13th September, 1982H.S.R. 57WE).—The following diaft rules further to amend the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) Rules, 1946, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred bv seciion 111 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 (4 of 1939) are hereby publish- ed as required by sub-section (1) of the section 133 of thi •aid Act for the information of all persons likely to be affocted thereby; and notice is hereby given tnat the said 722CH/H2 0>

Rules, 1946 :— draft will be taken into consideration after the expiry of fortyfive days from the date of publication of this Notifica- tion in the Official Gazette. (a) In sub-rule (J), for the words "one lakh", the word* "five lakhs" shall be substituted;

Any objections or suggestions, which may be received from any person with respect to the "aid draft lules beforo th© expiry of the said period, will be considered by the, Central Government.

(b) in sab-rule (2), for the letters and figures "Rs. 100", tne letters and figure* "Rs. 200" sliaii be "ub- stituted;

DRAFT RULES

1. (1) These rules may be called the Motor Vehicles

(c) in sub-rule (3) and the proviso, to- the words, letter* and figures "rupees twelve lalchs or R". 1500" wherever they occur, the words "rupees twenty lakhs or rupees two thousand five hundred" shall be substituted.

(Third Party Insurance) (Amendment) Rules, 1982.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their pub-

lication in the Official Gazette.
