G.S.R, J*"7(E).—In cxcrci.se of the powers conferred by sub-ieetion (2) of section 50 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, l'JHO (44 o- 19K0), the Central Govern- ment hciety appoints the 11th day of October, 19K2, as the date on which the amendments directed to be made by sub-section (1) of the sjid section Ihcing amendments to provide for an Appellate Tribunal under the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Excises tml Salt Act, 1^44 (1 of 1944), and the Gold (Control) Act, 1968 (,44 of H5S), and for matters connected therewith] shall come into force.
