S.O.730(E),—In cxcicisc of the powers conferred by sub- ectJon (6) of section 16 of the General Insurance Business Nationalisation) Act,1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme to amend the New India Assurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973, namely :—

1 • (l) This Scheme may be called the New India Assurance Company Limited (Merger) Amendment Scheme, 1982.

(2) Jt shall come into force on the dale of its publication intheOfficialGazette.

2. In the New India Assurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the said Scheme), in paragraph 10,—

(i) in the opining portion, for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted;

(li) in clause (a), for the word* "three crore equity shares" the words "ten crore equity shares" shall be substitu- ted.

3. In (he Second Schedule to the said Scheme,—

(a)-m Part I, in paragraph 1, in paragraph 5 as so substi-

tuted.—

(i) for the words "rupees twenty crorei", the wordt.

"rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted, (n) for the words "three ororeequity shares" in clause (a) therein, the words "ten crore equity shares" shall bo substituted

(b) in Part IT, in paragiaph 1, in Article 4 ds so substituted,—

(I) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-fivo crores" shall be substituted;

(n) for the words "three crore equity shares", the words "ten crorc equity shares" shall be substituted.

[F.No. 64(46V-Ins.I/82-I] S.O.731(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- loction (6) of seotion 16 of the Central Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (37 of 1972), the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme to amend the United India- Fire and General Iruurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973, namely:—

1.(1) This Scheme may be culled the United India F re- and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Amendment Scheme, 1982.

(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication In the Official Gazette.

2. In the United India Fire and General Insurance Company- Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the taid Scheme), in paragraph 10,—

(i) in the opening portion, for the words "rupees twenty arores", the words "rupees fifty-five croreV shal b© substituted;

(ii) in clause (a), for the words "three crorc equity shares", the words "ten crore equity shares" shall be substi- tuted.

3. In the Second Schedule to the said Scheme,—

(a) in Part I, in paragraph 2, in paragraph V aj so substi-

tuted ,— (i) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted;

(it) for the words "three crore equity shares", the words. "ten crore equity shares" sha'l be substitjted.

(b) in Part II, in paragraph 1, in Artich 6 as so substituted,—

(.1) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-five crpres" shall be substituted;

(ii) for the wprd" "three crore equity shares", the words, "ten crore equity shares" shall bo substituted.

3(ii) for the words "three crore equity shares", th words "ten crore equity shares" shall be substi- tuted. S. O. 732 :—In oxerciso of the powers conferred by sub- section (6) of section 16 of the General Insurance Businesi (rationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following Soheme to amend the Oriental Fire and General Insufance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973, namely:—

1. (1) This Scheme may be called the Oriental Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Amendment Scheme, 19R2.

Q.) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Oriental Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to at the •aid Scheme), in paragraph 11 ,—

(i) in the opening portion, for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupee? fifty-five crores" shall bo substituted;

(ii) in clause (a), for the words "three crore equity shares", the words "ten crorc equity shares" shall be substitu- ted.

3. IH the Second Schedule to the said Scheme,—

(a) in Part I, in paragraph 3, in paragraph 5 as so substi- tuted,—

(i) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted;

(ii) for the words "three crore equity shares", the words "ten crore equity shares" shall be substi- tuted.

(b) in Part II, in paragraph 1, in Article 6 a^so substituted,-—

1. (1) This Scheme may be called the National Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Amendment Scheme, I982, (2) It shall come into force on the date of it^ publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the National Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the said Scheme), in paragraph, 10,—

(ii) in clause (a), for the words "three crore equity shares", the words "ten crore equity shares" shall he substi- tuted.

(b) in Part fl, in. paragraph 3, in Article 4 as so substituted,—

(0 for the words "rupees twenty croics", the w"r ds "rupees liFty-livc crores" shall be substituted;

3. In the Second Schedule to the said Scheme,—

(a) in Part r, in paragraph 2, in paragraph V as so substi-

tuted,—

(ii) for the words "three crore equity shares", the words "ten croro equity shares" shall be substi- tuted.

(i) for the words "rupees- twenty crorei", the words "rupees flfty-flvo crores" shall be substituted;
