NOTIFICATIONS
New Ddhi, the 12t h October, 1982
INSURANCE
S.O.730(E)—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- ection (6) of section 16 of the General Insurance Business Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme to amend the New India Assurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973, namely:—
1. (1) This Scheme may be called the New India Assurance Company Limited (Merger) Amendment Scheme, 1982.
(2) It slpllcome into force on the date of its publication in the Official Ga2cttc.
2. In the New India Assurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the laid Scheme), in paragraph 10,—
(i) in the opining portion, for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted;
(ii) in clause (a), for the words "three crore equity shares" the words "ten crore equity shares" shall be substilu- ted.
3. In the Second Schedule to the said Scheme,—
(a) in Part I, in paragraph I, in paragraph 5 as so substi- tuted,—
(i) for tho words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted ;
(ii) for the words "three crore equity shares" in clause (a) thciein, the words "ten crorc equity shares" shall be substituted.
(b) in Part It, in paragraph 1, in Article 4 as so substituted,—
(i) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees flfty-llvc crores" shall be substituted;
(Ii) for the words "three crore equity shares", the words "ton crore equity shares" shall be substituted.
[F.No. 64(46)-Ins.I/82-I} S.OJ31(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub lection (6) of section 16 of the Central Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme to amend the United India Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973, namely:—
1. (1) This Sohcmo may be called the United India F ic- and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Amendment Scheme, 1982.
(2) It shall come into force on tho date of its publication- in the Official Gazette.
2. In the United India Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as tho said Scheme), in paragraph 10,—
(i) in the opening portion, for the words "rupees twenty orores", the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shal be. substituted;
(ii) In clause (a), for the words "three crore equity shares",, the words "ten crore equity shares" shall be substi- tuted.
3. In the Second Schedule to the said Scheme,—
(a) in Part I, in paragraph 2, in paragraph V as so substi- tuted,—
(I) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted;
(11) for the words "three crore equity shares", the wordj.
"ten crore equity shares" sha'l be substit jted.
(b) in Part II, in paragraph 1, in Artich 6 as so substituted,-—
(j) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the word* "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted;
(il) for the word* "three crore equity shares", the words "ten crore equity shares" shall be substituted.

O. 732 :—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (6) of section 16 of the General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following Scheme to amend the Oriental Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973, namely:—
1. (1-) This Scheme may be called the Oriental Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Amendment Scheme, 1*02.
(2) II shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Oriental Fire and General Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the said Scheme), in paragraph 1J,—
(i) in the opening portion, for the words "rupees twenty crores'1, the words "rupees fifty-five crores" shall be substituted;
(ii) in clause (a), for the words "three crore equity shares", the words "ten crorc equity shares" shall be substitu- ted.
3. In the Second Schedule to the said Scheme,—
(a) in Part I, in paragraph 3, in paragraph 5 as so subiti- tutcd,—
(i) for the words "rupees twenty crores", the-words "rupees fifty-five crorcs" shall be substituted;

2. In the National Insurance Company Limited (Merger) Scheme, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the said Scheme), In paragraph, 10,—
