( I) 898 GI/82 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] (2) against SI. No. 3, in column 3, in item (ii), for the proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:— "Provided that the condition of re-export shall not apply to,—

(a) food stuffs and medicines which are consumed by the said foreign contingents or their members;

(b) such goods which are lost or destroyed beyond recovery and are so certified in each case by the Department of Sports.'1

(3) after SI. No. 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following SI. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :—

G.S.R. 628(E):—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary In the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 195/81 Customs, dated the 25th August, 1981 namely:—

In the Table to the said notification,—

[F. No. 463/37/81-Cus.-V] (1) for the words and brackets "Ministry of Education and Culture (Department of. Education)", wherever thoy occur, the words "Department of Sports" shall be substituted;
