NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6lh November, 1982
S.O. 78"ME).—-Whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Auroville (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1980 (59 of 1980) (herein after referred to as the said Act), the management of Auroville was vested in *he Central Government for a period of two years from the 10th day of November, 1980 ;
And whereas the Central Government ia of the opinion that in order to secure the proper management of Auroville, it is expedient that such manage- ment should continue to vest in that Government for a further period of one y cr from the 10th November, 1982 ;
Now. therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub- section (1) of section 3 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs that, subject to the orders of the Supreme Court in the proceedings pending bcfoie it, the management of Auroville shall continue to vest in the Central Government foi a further period of one year from the 10th November, 1982.
