G.S.R. 709(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of lhc Central Excise Rules, 1944, read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957), the Central Government hereby exempts all exdwible goods manufactured in Ordnance Factories belonging to tho Central Govern- ment and which are intended tor consumption by the members of the Armed Forces of the Union or by such Ordnance Factories, fiom the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon both under the Central Excises ;inrl Salt Ac'> 1944 (1 of 1944) and the Addition Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Im- portance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957).
