ORDERS
New Delhi, the 17th November, 1982
S.O. 812 (E)/18A/IDRA/82.—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Department of Industrial Development), No. S. O. 325(E), dated the 18th May, 1978 (hereinafter referred to as the said order), the management of the whole of the Industrial undertaking known as The Bengal Immunity Company Limi- ted, Calcutta was taken over by a body of persons referred to in the said order as the Board of Management, under sec-' tion 18A of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), for a period of two years from the 18th May, 1978;
And, whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Department of Industrial Deve- lopment) No. S. O. 324(E), dated the 17th May, 1980, the duration of the said order was extended for a period upto the 17th May, 1982;
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PA&T II—SEC. 3(ii>] No. S.O. 327(E)/18A/IDRA/82, dated 1 7* May,_ 1982, the duration of the said order was extended for a further period upto and inclusive of the 17th November, 1982;And, whereas the Central Government h of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest that the manaRc- ment of the said industrial undertaking by the said Board of Management phpuld continue for a further period of six months;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sectipn (2) of Section 18A of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1961), the Central Government hereby directs that the said Order shall continue to have effect for a further period upto cind inclusive of the 17th May. 1983,
[F. No, 4(l)/77-CUS] S.O. 8l3(E)/18FB/IDRA/fi2:—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Department of Industrial Development) No. S. O. 354(E), dated the 25(Ji May, 1978 (hereinafter relerred to as the said Order), the CentraJ Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 18PB of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 19511 dec- lared that the operation of all contracts, assurances of pro- perty, agreements, settlements, awards, standing orders or other instruments in force immediately before the 25th May, 197a to which the industrial undertaking known as the Bengal Immunity Company Limited, Calcutta or the company owning such undertaking is a party or which may be applicable to the said indastrial undertaking or company, snail remain suspended upto 18th May, 1979 and that all rights, privileges, obligations and liabilities accruing or arising thereunder before the said datei >>hall remain suspended for the said period ;
And, wheieas the duration of the said Order was extended from time to time upto and inclusive of the 17th November, 1982;
And, whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the duration of the said Order should be extended for a further period of six months;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with sub-section (2) of Section 18FB of the industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby extends the dura- tion of the said Order for a further period upto and inclusive of the 17th May. 1983.
