ORDER

New Delhi, the 24th November, 1982

S.O. 833(E)-18A/IDRA/82.—Whereas by the order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Deve- lopment No. S.O. 725(E)/18A/IDRA/72, dated the 25th Nov- ember, 1972 (hereinafter referred to as the said order), a Board of Management was authorised to take over the mana- gement of the whole of Industrial undertaking known as Messrs. India Machinery Company Limited, Howrah, for a period of five years upto and inclusive of 24th November, 1977.

And whereas, the said order was modified by the order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Depart- ment of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 630(E)/18A/IDRA/ 77, dated the 24th August, 1977 and the Industrial Recon- struction Corporation of India Limited, Calcutta was autho- u'sed to take over the management of the said undertaking ;

And vshereas the duration of the said order was extended by the orders of the Government of India in the Ministiy of Industry (Department of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 784(E)/18A/IDRA/77, dated the 24th November, 1977, No, S.O. 747(TE.)/18A/IDRA/79 dated the 22nd November, 1979, No. S.O. 9O

And whereas the Central Government is of opinion that it is expedient in the public interest that the duration of the said order should be extended for a further period upto and in- clusive of the 24th May, 1983 ;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (2) of section 18A of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby directs that the said order shall continue- to have effect for a further period upto and inclu- sive of the 24th May, 1983.
