NO. 285|82—CENTRAL EXCISES
G.S.R. 730(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (2) of section 3 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), and in supersession of the notification of the Gov- ernment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Re- venue) No. 232|82-Central Excises, dated the 30th October, 1982, the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value or three hun- dred and sixty five rupees per quintal of sugar falling under sub- item (1) of Item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty ad-valorem :
Provided that nothing contained in this notification shall apply to sugar required by the Central Government to be sold under clause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act. 1955 (10 of 1955).
