section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of U n a u t h o r i s ed
Occupant) Act 1971 (49 of 1971) and in supersession of G o v t.
Notification No S.O 92(1 ), published in Part II Section 3(i)
of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary dated t he 24th F e b r u a r y,
1982, at page 164 the Central Government h e r e by a p p o i n ts t he
officer m e n t i o n ed in column ( I) of t he Table below b e i ng
officer or the Tuticorin Port Trust equivalent to the r a nk of t he
Gazetted Officer of the G o v e r n m e nt of India to be Estate Officer
for the purposes of the said Act , a nd the said of officer shall
exercise t he powers conferred a nd perform the duties i m p o s ed
on the Estate Officer by or u n d er t he said Act within (he local
limits of his jurisdiction in respect of t he public premises speci-
fied in the corresponding entry in column (2) of t he said Table

T THE GAZETTE OF INDK : EXTRAORDINARY [PART IT-SEC 3(i)lS.O. 749(E).:- In excrci'-c of ihc po^ws lonfcned by section 3 ol the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), the Central Government hereby appoints the Officer mentioned in column (1) of Table below, being officer of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust equivalent to the rank of the Gazetted Officer of the Govt. of India, to be L state Officer TOL the purposes of the said Act, and the said officer shall exercise the povveis confeircd anil perform the duties imposed on the Estate Officer by or under the said Act, within the local limits of his jurisdiction in respect of the public premises specified in the corresponding entry in columa (2) of the said Table.
