New Delhi, the 17th December, 1982

GJ5.R, 760(E).—The tallowing draft of certain rules further to amend the Prevention of

Any objectioni or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the (aid draft rules before the DRAFT RULES

1. These rule* may be called the Prevension of Food

Adulteration (Amendment) Rules, 1982.

2. In the Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules, 1955,

in Appendix 'B¹—•

(i) in item A.07,04, for the words and figures "wbich may contain the permitted flavour*, jugar, syrup, fruit, fruit juices, cocoa, citric acid, stabilizes or emulsifiers not exceeding 0.5 per cent by weight" the following shall be substituted namely :—

"which may contain, sugar, syrup, fruit juice*, cocoa, citric acid and permitted flavours. It may also contain permitted stablizers or emukifiers not ex- ceeding 0.5 per cent by weight";

(Li) In item A.07.04.O1, for the words and figures, "which may contain permitted flavour, fruit juice*, nuts, cocoa citric acid, stabilizers or emulsiflers not exceeding 0.5 per cent." the following shall be sub- stituted, namely"—

"which may contain sugar syrup, fruit juices, cocoa citric acid and permitted flavours. It may also contain permitted stabilizers or emulcifiers not exceeding 0.5 per cent by weight.";

(lii) in item A. 14, in clause (a), the words "on dry

basis", occuring "t the end, shall be omitted;

(iv) in item A.14,01, for the entry, "5.0 to 8.0 per cent by weight on dry basis" the following shall be substituted, namely :

"4.5 to 9.0 per cent by weight".
