Provided further that such direct import has, not been—
fi; similarly correlated and accounted for against any
other previous exportation ; and
(ii) previously re-exported as such, or in any other
form with or without a claim for drawback.

PUBLIC NOTICE
F. No. 6O0|2726-2727|8Z-DBK. Under rule 4 of the Cus- toms and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1971 (Noti- fication No. 52|F. No. 602|2|70-DBK published in the Gaz- ette of India-Extraordinary, dated the 25th August, 1971), the Central Government hereby makes the following amend- ments in the Table published in the Public Notice No. DRAWBACKIPN-t dated the 15th October, 1971 :—
(1) The existing GENERAL NOTE 8 shall be renumbered
as '8(1)'.
(2) After the GENERAL NOTE 8(1), so amended, the
following shall be added, namely :•—-
"8(11). In respect of sub-.serial Nos. 2726, 2727, 2728; 2729, 2731 and 2737 relating to readymade gar- ments the exporter shall also be paid the duty of customs on imported hangers— Providod the exporter produces evidence to the satisfaction of the Assistant Collector of Customs of direct duty paid importation per piece of han- gers exported along with the garments and said (3) In the column 'Rate of drawback' against sub-serinl Nos. 2726, 2727, 2728, 2729 and 2737, the following shall he added at the end, namely :—

In case of imported hangers drawback equivalent to the actual amount of duties paid on such han- gers, shall be paid in the manner laid down, in GENERAL NOTE 8(11) of the Schedule."

"'Ci) Drawback at the appropriate rate as specified in this schedule in respect of materials from which hangers have been made.
OR
In case of imported hangers drawback equivalent to the actual amount of duties paid on such han- gers, shall be pad in the manner laid down in GENERAL NOTE 801) of the Schedule".
This Public Notice shall be deemed to have come into
force on the 1st day of June, 1982.
