EXPORT TRADE CONTROL

Subject:—Export of Value Added Ttcras made out of Reptiles/ Snake Skins byBharat Leather Corp

No. 25 (4)/83-E (H).—Attention is invited to the Exports (Control) Amendment Order No. E(C)O, 1977/AM(25G) dated the 28th January, 1983, on the above subject.

2. O,i a review of tho p isttion it has be;n decided to allow the export of value added items made out of Repliles(Snako Skins by Bharat Leather Corporation, New Delhi, upto 31-3-1983 subject to the following conditions:—

2. Where the declared stock holders do not tender the roptik/snako skins equivalent to the stock declared by thorn, the Bharat Leather C 'rp^ratirn will report to thu c mcerned authority for further investigation and uctf'on in accordance with the Wild Life Prcser- vati in Act.

3. Bharat Leather C -rpTatLn shall not accopt any skins fr* rn the stock hol'ers after the stipulated period mtifled by them.

4. Bharat L-athcr Cuporatinn shall immediately take action to convert tho skins into exportable items out of the currently declared stocks with the Private Trade and the stocks taken over from tho Customs.

5. Only value added articles made out of Snakc/Reptilos Skins will be allowed for export and Snake/Reptile Skins, as such, shall not be permitted for export.

6. Bbarat Leather Corporation shall maintain complete .records, of the Snake/Reptile Sfcin^ acquired by them separately from the st"ck: holders and the Customs authorities aid the articles made out of them.

7. The Bhaiat Leather Corporation shall furnish details of the manufactured articles, to the Joint Chiof Con- troller, Central Licensing Area. New Delhi, to enable that office to issue export licence to the Corporation.

8. Bharat Leather Corporation shall furnish a monthly report of exports of articles made out of Snake/Reptile skins and the balanco skins available with them to the Joint Secretary, Inchargo of Forestry and Wild Life, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerco (EP Agri. Division), the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Industry and the Office of Chief CJntroller of Imports and Exports (Export Division).

3. Accordingly the following entry shall be made at page 8 of the Imports and Exports Policy (Vol. II) for 1982-83 after S.N". 4(b)(7)(C):-
