NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 22nd February, 1983
WEALTH-TAX
S.O. 130(E):~ In exercise of the powers conferred by section 46 of the Wealth-tax Act, 1957 (27 of 1957), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Wealth-lax Rules, 1957, namely:—
1. (1) Thes rules, may b" called the Wealth-tax (Amendment Rules,, 1983.
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1983.

2. In the Wealth-tax Rules, 1957, in Form A,—
(a) in Part I,—
(i) in Section A, for item 0 ), the following iiem shall be substituted, namely:—
(ii) the following Note shall be added at the end, namely: —
'^Please sec Notes below Annexui'e U"!
(b) in AnncNurc I, in the heading, the words "comprised in any tea, coffee, rubber or cardamom plantation' shall be omitted;
(,c) in Annexui'e II,—
d) in lhe heading the words "comprised in any tea, cjffee, rubb:r or eavdaniQ-n plantation" shall be omitted;
(ii) for the first Note, the following Note shall be substituted namely:—
" Where the return lclates to—
(i) any of the assessment years 1970-71 to 1980-81, details of all agricultural lands should be s>hown in the statement;
(ii) any of the assessment years 1971-72 to 1976-77, details of agricultural lands situated in urban areas and other areas should als i be shjwn sepa- rately in the statement;
(in) the assessment year 1981-82 or the assessment year 1982-83, details of agricultural lands comp- rised in tea, coffee, rubber or cardamom plantation should be shown in the statement;
(iv) the assessment year 1983-84, details of agricultural lands may be shown in Part IV.";
(d) in Annexurc VI, in serial number 16, the abbreviation and figures "Rs. 20,000''shall be omitted.
