NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th February, 1983
SO. 145(E)—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreigners Act, 1946 (31 of 1946) the Central Government hereby makes the followinK order namely •—
1 (1) This order may be called the Foreigners (Pioduchon of Proof of Identity)
Order, 1983
(2) It shall come into fotce at once and shall remain in force till the
31st March, 1983
2 Every foreignei who is lequrred to be in possession of a passport or any other kind of travel document for purpose oi entiy into India shall carry with him at all times, while he is m Ihe Union Territory of Delhi, his passpoit or such other travel document as is lequued to he in his possession oi other proof of his identity as also the certificate of registration and residential peimit, if any, issued to him under the Registration of Foreigners Rules, 1939, and the Foreigners Order, 194S, and sh 411 be liable to produce the same on demand to any police ofllce of or above the rink of a constable or to any other officer conceined with internal security or work in lespect of foreigners
