S.O. 242.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (2 of 1976), the Central Government, on being requested so to do by Punjab National Bank establishes, with effect from the 30th March 1983 a Regional Rural Bank in the State of Punjab under the name of Kapurthala Firozpur Kshetriya Gramin Bank which shall operate within the local limits of the districts of Kapurthala and Firozpur in the State of Punjab.

S.O. 243(E).—In pursuance of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rursl Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government after consultation with the Reserve Bunk of India and Punjab National Bank by whi^h Kapurtfaala Firozpur Kshetriya Oramin Bank has been sponsored specifies Kapurthala as the place where Kapurthida Firozpur Kshetriya Gramln Bank shall have its hcud office.

S.O. 244t(E).—In pursuance of sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) of sub-section (6) of section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of ,1934), the Central Government hereby notifies for the purpose of the said sub-clause Kapurthala Firozpur Kshetriya Gramln B'ank( Kapurtbala being an institution es- tablished under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).
