Subject Import & Expoit Policy for 1983-84

1984 will be announced on 15(h Apul, 1983
2 Till the announcement of the import policy for 1983-84, import applica- tions received upto 31st March, 1983, and which are pending on 1-4-1983, will be dealt with undei the policy for 1982-83.
3 Exporters entering mtp export contracts during the period from 1st April 1983, to I4th April, 19834 it they register the contract with the bank accoiding to the prescribed procedure, will bo eligible to claim protection of import re- plenishment as available on 31st March, 1983, or on the date of the contract under the policy for 1983-84, as the exportei may desire.
4. Expoit of commodities from India dm ing the period from 1st April, 1983 to 14th Apiil, 1983, will be allowed in accordance with the export control policy as in force on 31st March, 1983,
5. Persons who need to import any requirements under exti aordlnary circum- stances during the period from 1st April, 1983 to 14th April, 1983 may apply to the Chief Contioller of Imports & Exports, New Delhi Then lequests will te consideied on merits. Copy to all concerned;
