G.S.R, 339(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is neces- sary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts sulphur falling within Chapter 25 of the First Schedule to the Cus- toms Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) and under sub-item No. (4) of item 1IA of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), when imported into India, from the whole of the additional duty of customs leviable thereon under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act.

GJSJL 340(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do. hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 187-Customs, dated the 30th July, 1982.

CSJt. 341(E).—In exercise of the powers confe"red by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1S*62 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 31/83-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1983, namely :—
