NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th April, 1983
S.O. 332(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso* to sub-rules (1) and (12) of rule 8 of the Punjab Wakf Rule*. 1964, published as S.O. No. 325(E) dated the 21"t April, 1983, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary. Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) rend with the notiacation of the Government of India in the Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs (Legislative Department) No. 4/3/73-Wakf dated the 30th December, 1975 (published as notification No, S.O. 247 dated the 30th December, 1975. in ihe Gazette of India, Pan n. Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 17th January, 1976, the Central Government hereby:
(i) terminates with Immediate effect the services of Sri Mohammad Saidullah, IAS(Retd.), who was appoint- ed as Secretary of the said Board for a period of one year on and from the 12th June, 1982 (afternoon) through notification of the Government of India in the Minlftry of Law, Justice and Company Affair* (Legislative Department) No. S.O. 375(E) dated the 29th Miy, 1982 nnd directs that he shall be paid •alary for the unexplrcd period of the term of bis office; and
(ii) appoints, in consultation with the person directed by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Law, Justice aqd Company Affairs (Legis- lative Department) No. S.O. 288(E) dated the 11th April, 1983 to exercise and perform all the powers and duties which may, by or under the provisions of the Wakf Act, 1954, be exercised or performed by or on behalf of the Punjab Wakf Board, Sri Kholeeq Ahmad, Section Oiflcer, in the Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs {Legislative Depart- ment), to function as Secretary of the Punjab Wakf Hoard in addition to his functions under the Govern- ment of India on the following terms and condi- tions :—
(a) he shall continue to draw his pay and allowances as Section Officer from the Government of India;
(b) the period of his appointment shall be from the date ho assumes charge of the office of the Secretary, Punjab Wakf B w d, till the 31st M"y, 1983 or till a Secretary dnly selected in accordance with the pres- cribed procedure takes choree of the office of the Secretary, Punjab Wakf Board, whichever is earlier;
(c) during the period he functions as Secretary. Punjab Wakf Board, his headquarters shall be Ambala C a n t t;
{d) except for the journey, performed by him in con- nection with the affairs of the Punjab Wakf Board as Secretary for which travelling allowance/ dally allowance shall be paid to him (ion\ (he Punjab Wakf Board as admissible to its Secretary, travel- ling allowance/daily allowance for other journey* performed by him for assumina and relinquishing charge of the nost of Secretary, Punjab Wakf Boiira, shall be met with by the Government of India.
