Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said consti- tuency to elect a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste in the State of Andhra Pradesh to fill the said vacancy before 23rd June, 1983 (Thursday), in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder.

O.N. 49(E).—In pursuance of the Provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby appoints, with respect to the bye-election to be held in 36-Peddapalli (SC) Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Andhra Pradesh in pursuance of Its notification No. 1OO/AP-HP/1/83(1) dated 20th May, 1983 :—

(a) the 2th May, 1983 (Friday), as the last date for making

nominations;

(b) the 28th May, 1983 (Saturday), as the date for the

icrutiny of nominations;

withdrawal of candidatures;

O.N. 500E).—In pursuance of Section 56 of the Represen- tation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Com- mission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the bye-election to the House of the People from 36-Pedda- pelli (SC) Parliamentary Constituency to be held in pursuance of its notification No 1OO/AP-UP/1/83/U) dated 20th May, 1983.

(d) the 19th June, 1983 (Sunday), as the date on which

a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
