ORDER
New Delhi, the 31st May, 1983
S.O. 387(E)|18A|IDRA|83 Whcruis the Ceutrul Government, in exereise of (lie powers conlerred by sub-section ( I) ol section 18A of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 OL 1951). by the Order of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Industrial Development No. S.O. 601 ( E ), dated the 8th October, 1974, authorised the Boaid of Management specified therein to take over the management of the whole- of the industrial undertaking, namely Messrs Eastern Distilleries Private Limited, Calcuita, for a period of five years commenc- ing from the 8th October, 1974;
And, whereas, by the Order of the Government of India, in the Mimstiy of Industry (Department of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 237(E), dated the 1st May. 1979, issued in partial niodificatiim of the said order No. S.O. 601 ( E ), d'atcd the 8th October, 1974,, (hereinafter referred to as the said order), the Central Government authorised tho Secretary, Sick and Closed Industries Department (now knuwn as Indus- trial Reconstruction Department), Government of West Bengal, Calcutta, to take over management of the afoiesaid industrial undertaking for the remaining period' of five years irom the 8
And, whereas, by order of the Government of India (Department of Industrial Development) rV). S,O. S56(H), dated the 28th September,' 1979, No. S O. 838(E), dated the 7th October, 1980, No. S.O. 737(E) dated the 6th October, 1981 and S.O. 718(E), dated the 7th October, 1982, issued' from timp to time, the Central Government directed that the said Order shall continue to have effect (or a further period upto and inJusive of the 31st May, 1983;
And, whereas, the Central Government is of opinion that it is expedient iu the public interest that the said Order should continue to havo effect for a further pe- riod upto and inclusive of 31st December, 1983;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred1 by the proviso to sub-section (2) of section 18A of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby directs that the said Order shall continue to have effect for a further period upto and inclusive of the 31st December, 1QR3
