No 227/83-CFNTRAL EXCISESG.S.R. 651(E).—In excise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the (1) 605 GI/83

2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] (2) Appendix I shall be omitted; Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No, 186/ 75-Central Fxciscs, dated the 21st August, 1975, namely:—

In the said notification,—

(3) Appendix II shall be renumbered as Appendix I, ;md in Appendix I as so renumbered, in paragraph (i), in the opening portion, for the words "'utilised in the manufacture of goods meant for export,'¹ the words "utilised for the production or in connection with the production of electronic goods meant for export" shall be substituted.
