NOTIFICATION
INCOME-TAX
New Delhi, the 19th August, 1983
S.O. 600 (E).—In exercise of the powers con- ferred by section 295 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Income-
tax (Seventh Amendment) Rules, 1983.
(2) They shall come into force on the date
of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Income-tax Rules, 1962,—
(i) after rule 18BBA, the following rule
shall be inserted, namely :—
"18BBB. Form of audit1 report for claim- ing deduction under section 80-1.—The report of the audit of the accounts of an assessce, other than a company or a co-operative society, which is required to be furnished under sub-section (7) of section 80-1 shall be in Form No, 10CCB.";
(ii) in Appendix II, after Form No. 10CCA, the iollowing Form shall be inserted, namely :—

In *my/our opinion, proper books of account have been kept by the head office and the branches of the industrial undertaking afore- said visited by *me|us so far as appears from *my| our examination of books, and proper returns adequate for the purposes of audit have been re- ceived from branches not visited by *me|us, sub- ject to the comments given below :—

(i) in the case of the balance sheet, of the state of affairs of the above named in- dustrial undertaking as at and
