Government, on being requested so to do by State Bank of India, establishes, with effect from the 27th September, 1983 a Regional Rural Bank in the Union Territory of Mizoram under the name of Mizoram Rural Bank which shall operate within the local limits of the Union Territory of Mizoram.

G.S.R. 687.—In exercise of the powers confer- red by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Region- al Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government hereby appoints Shri M. Paul as Chair- man of the Mizoram Rural Bank, Aizwal and specifies the period cornmencing on the 27-9-1983 and ending with the 30-9-1986 as the period for which the said Shri M. Paul shall hold office as such Chairman.

S.O. 688.—In pursuance of clause (a) of sub-section 6 of section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (21 of 1934) the Reserve Bank of India hereby directs inclusion in the Second Schedule o the said Act of the following bank, namely :—

"Mizoram Rural Bank, Aizwal (Mizoram)".
