No. 11|3|81-BAD(DBA.II).~The Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the Notification of the Govern- ment of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development Notification No. F. 6(26;|71-IC dated the 23rd July, 1?71 as amended from time to time :—
1. In para 2 under the heading "Commence- ment and Duration", the following may be added after the existing para :—
"The scheme is further extended for a period of two years w.e.f. 1st April, 1983 to 31st March, 1985 "
2. In para 4 under "Definitions" the following
shall be added :— •
"(i) 'Promotional Institutions mean promo- tional institutions which are set up by State or Central Government and are notified by Central Government as eligi- ble insiitutions under the Transport Subsidy Scheme."
3. The following shall be added in sub-para
6(il) :—
"Promotional institutions shall also be entitl- ed to claim transport subsidy in respect of transactions involving transport of raw materials finished goods handled by them on behalf of identifiable Small, Village and Cottage Units located in selected areas."
4. The expression '50 per cent' occurring in sub-paras (ix), (x) and (xi) of Para 6 shall be substituted by the expression '75 per cent\
The amendments at paras 3 ond 4 above shall come into force with effect from 1st April, 1983.
