Subject :~-Import of Beef, Buffalo and Pig Tallow in any lotm.
Issued lroni file No. IPC|4|8(37>!34|83-S4.—Attention it, invited to the Ministry of Commerce Import Trade Control Order No. 27] 83 dated the 24th August, 1983 which prohibits clearance for home consumption of beef, buffalo and pig tallow in any form imported into India.
2. In respect import consignments which cannot be cleared lor home eon'binption consequent upon the aforesaid Order dated 24lh August, J 983, the importers concerned may approach the Customs authority concerned for re-shipment[rc-export of the imported material. The Customs Authority will allow re-shipment|re- export having regard to the extent to which foreign exchange spent on import will be earned back and subject to such othei conditions relating the'eto as the Customs authority may impose.
