NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, 7th September, 1983
No.4/l/8!-BAD(Vol.m):—The Central Government hereby makes the following amendment/additions ta the Ministry of Industry, Department of Industrial Development's Noti- fication No. 4/l/81-BAD(Vol. Ill) dated 2-5-19S3 :—
(1) Under the heading 'N^-Indastry D istricts' the following shall be added ;— Kerala

2. Wynad
(2) Under the heading 'Special Reaion Districts' the follow- ing amendments shall be made:—
(i) Against S.No. 1-Assam: The existing entry,
'Mikir Hills' shall be substituted by 'Karbi Anglong'.
(ii) Against S.No. 4-Meghalaya: The following ihall bo added to the existing entries:—
(1) East Khasi Hills and (2) West Khasi Hills*.
(iii) Against S.No. 6-Nagaland • The following shall be added to the existing entries :— (1) Mon (2) Phek (3) wokha (4) Zunheboto.
(iv) Against S.No. il-Arunachal Against the existing Pradesh: entries the following
shall be substituted:— (1) Tirap* (2) East Kameng* (3) West Kameng* (4) EaslSiang*
(5) West Siang* (6) Lower Subanslri* (7) Upper Subansiri* (8) DibangVally* (9) Lohit

Total number of districts shall now be 1?1 instead of 118.
EXPLANATION
Districts/areas appearing in Category 'B' and *C of the Ust of this Ministry Notification No-4/1/81-BAD (Vol. Ill) dated 2nd May, 1983 were those districts/areas as they existed on 1-10-1970 prior to their reorganisation. Areas carved out of these districts/areas thereafter would continue to be entitled to the subsidies at the same rates, as are applicable to the districts/ areas mentioned in the Notification referred to above.
