In pursuance of sub - clause ( i) of clause of sub- section ( 3 ) of Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government hereby makes the following fur- ther amendment in the notification of the Government of India , Ministry of Finance , Department of Revenue No. 261 - Cus . G.S.R. No. 689 (E) , dated the 7th September , 1983 namely :--
