ORDER
New Delhi, the 21st September, 1983
S.O. 677(E).—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Department of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 541(E)|18AAJmRA|79; dated the 22nd Septem- ber, 1979 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order), the Central Government had authorised the Secretary, Closed and Sick Industries De- partment, now known as Secretary. Industrial Re- construction Department, Government of West Bengal, Calcutta, to take over the management of the whole of the Industrial undertaking known as Messrs National Iron and Steel Company Limi- ted, Howrah, for a period of three years upto and inclusive of the 21st day of September, 1982;
And, whereas, by the Order of the Government of India (Department of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 682(E)|18AA|IDRA|82 dated the 21st September 1982, the duration of the said Order was extended for a period of one year upto and inclusive of the 21st September, 1983;
And, whereas the Central Government is of opinion that it is expedient in the public interest that the said Order should continue to have effect for a further period upto and inclusive of the 31st December, 1983;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-section (2) of section 18AA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government here- by directs that the said Order shall continue to have effect for a further period npto and inclusive of the 31st December, 19#3.
