G.S.R. 757 (E) .—In pursuance of rule 7 of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, in consultation with the State Governments and the Union Public Service Commission, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Adminis- trative Service (Appointment by Competitive Exa- mination) Regulations, 1955, namely :—

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) Amendment Regula- tions. 1983.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of

their publication in the official Gazette.

2. In the Indian Administrative Service (Ap- pointment by Competitive Examination) Regula- tions, 1955, in regulation 11, the existing clause "Cxi)¹' shall be re-numbered as clause "(xii)" there- of and before clause "(xii)" as so re-numbered, the following clause shall be inserted, namely :—

"(xi) Violating any of the instructions issued to candidates alongwith their admission certificates permitting them to take the examination;"

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Police Service (Appointment by Competi- tive Examination) Amendment Regulations, 1983.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of

their publication in the official Gazette.

2. In the Indian Police Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) Regulations, 1955, in regulation 11, the existing clause "(xi)" shall be re-numbered as clause "(Mi)" thereof and be- fore clause 'L(xiiV' as so re-numbered, the follow- ing clause shall be inserted, namely :—

"Cxi) Violating any of the instructions issued to candidates alongwith their admission certificates permitting them to take the examination;"

Note—The Principal Regulations have been

amended vide :—

1. (i) These regulations may be called the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Competitive Exa- mination) Amendment Regulations, 1983.

(ii) They shall come into force on the date of

their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) Regulations, 1967, in Regulation 11, the ousting clause "(xi)" shall be renumbered as clause "(xii)" thereof and before clause "(xii)" as so re-numbered, the following clause shall be inserted, namely :—

"(xi) Violating any of the instructions issued to candidates alongwith their admission certificates permitting them to take the examination."
