NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th September, 1983
G.S.R. 762(E).—In pursuance of rule 24 read with sub-rule (7) of rule 19 of the Central Secre- tariat Stenographers' Service Rules, 1969, the Government of India in the Department of Per- sonnel and Administrative Reforms in the Ministry of Home Affairs hereby makes the following regu- lations further to amend the Central Secretariat Stenographers' Service (Seniority of Transferred Officers) Regulations, 1971, namely :—-
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Central Secretariat Stenographers' Service (Senio- rity of Transferred Officers) (Amendment) Regula- tions, 1983.
(2) They shall be deemed to have come into
force on the 20th September, 1971.
2. In the Central Secretariat Stenographers' Ser- vice (Seniority of Transferred Officers) Regulations, 1971, in regulation 3 ,—
(i) in sub-regulation (5), for the words, bra- ckets and figures "second proviso to sub-rule (1) or second proviso to sub- rule ( 2 )" the following words, brackets and figures shall be substituted, name- ly :—
"third proviso to sub-rule (2) or second
proviso to sub-rule (3)"; and
(ii) in sub-regulation (6), in clause (e), for the words, brackets an figures "second proviso to sub-rule (2) of rule 12", the words, brackets and figures "third pro- viso to sub-rule (2) of rule 12" shall be substituted.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM
Consequent on the promulgation of the Central Secretariat Stenographer's Service (Amendment) Rules, 1983 with effect from the 1st August 1969, it has become necessary to amend sub-regulation (5) of Regulation 3 and clause (e) of sub-regulation (6) of Regulation 3 of the Central Secretariat Ste- nographers Service (Seniority of Transferred Offi- cers) Regulations 1971, with effect from the 20th September 1971.
2. The interests of no one will be prejudicially affected by the retrospective effect being given to the amendment regulations.
