NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th September, 1983
S.O. 702(E)—Ii oxercise of the powers conferred by subsec- tion (3) of ";tlon 1 of the Bilking Companies (Legal Practi- tioners' Clients' Accounts) Act, 1949 (46 of 1949), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of October, 1983 as the date on which.the provisions of the said Act shall come into force in the following States and Union territories, namaly:—

Note:—The Act was brought into forco in Orissa on 1st August, 1950, vide Notification No. S.R.O. 270, dated the 12th July, 1930, Gazotto of India, Pt. II, Sec. 3, p. 278, and in tho State of Punjab on the 1st October, 1951,. vide Notification No. S.R.O. 1431, dated 18th September, 1951, Gazette of India, Pt. II,, Sec. 3, p. 1597.
The Act was extended to and brought ipto force in the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli by Reg. 6 of 1963, s. 2 and Sch. 1 and Pondicherry by Reg. 7 of 1963, s. 3 and Sch. 1 and extended to Goa, Daman and Dlu by Reg. 11 of 1963, s- 3 and Sch. and Laccadive, Minicoy and Amindivi Islands by Reg. 8 of 1965, s. 3 and Sch.
