New Delhi, the 5tta October, 1983

S.O. 717(E).—In pursuance of Sub-section (a) of Section 2 of the Sugar Undertakings (Taking Over of Management) Act, 1978 (No. 49 of 1978), the Central Government hereby specifies, having regard to the agro-climatic condi- tions prevailing or likely to prevail, the quantity of cane available or likely to be available for Mushing and other relevant factors, the fifteenth day of November, 1983, as the 'appointed day¹ for the sugar year 1983-84.
