NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 13th October, 1983
O.N. 93(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the resignation of Shri Vasantrao Patil, a member elected to that House from 46-Sangli Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Maharashtra;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a person to fill the said vacancy before 17th November, 1983 (Thursday), in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and the Rules orders made thereunder.
2 _ T HE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART I I - S E C. 3(iii)]O.N. 94(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby appoints, with respect to the bye-election be held in 46-Sangle Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Maharashtra in pursuance to its notification No. 1OO|MT-HP|1|83(1) dated 13th October, ] 9 8 4 :—
(a) the 20th October, 1983 (Thursday), as the
last date for making nominations;
(b) The 21st October, 1983 (Friday), as the
date for scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 24th October, 1983 (Monday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatu- res;
(d) the 13th November, 1983 (Sunday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
fc) the 17th November, 1983 (Thursday), as the date before which the efcetion shall be completed.

O.N. 95(E).—In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken at the bye-election lo the House of the People from 46-Sangli Parlia- mentary Constituency to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 1OO|MT-HP|1|183(1) dated 13th October, 1983.
