NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 24th October, 1983
G.S.R. 797 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Government Sav- ings Certificates Act, 1959 (46 of 1959), the Cen- tral Government hereby makes the following rules
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDTA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SFC. 3(0] further to amend the National Savings Certificates (VI Issue) Rules, 1981, namely :—1. (1) These rules may be called the National Savings Certificates (VI Issue) (Second Amend- ment) Rules, 1983.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the National Savings Certificates (VI Issue) Rules, 1981,
(1) in rule 3, for the words and figures, "Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 5,000," the words and figures "Rs. 1,000, Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 10,000" shall be substituted ;
(2) in Form 1, paragraph (1) in column 2 of the statement, after the figure '5,000', the figure '10,000' shall be "inserted.

NOTE.—Principal rules were issued vide GSR 309 (E) dt. 24-4-1981 and amending rules were issued vide (i) GSR No. 751 (E) dated 10-12-82 and (ii) GSR No. 259 (E) dated 11-3-1983.
G.S.R. 798 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Government Sav- ings Cretificates Act, 1959 (46 of 1959), the Cen- tral Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Savings Certificates (VII Issue) Rules, 1981. namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the National Savings Certificates (VII Issue) (Second Amend- ment) Rules, 1983.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the National Savings Certificates (VII Issue) Rules, 1981,
(1) in rule 3, for the words and figures, "Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 5,000", the words and figures "Rs. 1,000, Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 10,000" shall be substituted ;
(2) in Form 1, paragraph (1) in column 2 of the statement, after the figure '5,000', the figure '10,000' shall be "inserted.
