NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th October, 1983
G.S.R. 807(E).—In exercise of the powers con- ferred by section 7 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 (13 of 1885), the Central Government here- by makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Telegraph Rules, 1951, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian
Telegraph (Ninth Amendment) Rules, 1983.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of
their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In rule 505-A of the Indian Telegraph Rules, 1951 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in sub-rule (4), for the words "a period of six months", the words "a period of nine months" shall be substituted.
3. In rule 505-B of the said rules, in sub-rule (1), for the words "a period of six months", the words "a period of nine months" shall be substituted.
